Titan Fuel Tanks is once again revolutionizing the industry with the release of the new Gen 7 XXL Replacement Fuel Tanks. Our tanks are the most advanced and capable XXL fuel tanks ever produced. Constructed from our renowned High-Density Cross-Linked Polyethylene (XLHDPE), they offer unmatched durability and a lifetime warranty, surpassing any other fuel tank on the market.
The Gen 7 tanks boast three new optional features to maximize versatility:
A fast fill vent kit for hassle free fueling at high-flow truck stop pumps, a universal pickup tube compatible with high-pressure fuel systems, and a transfer pump kit, allowing you to conveniently fuel other vehicles directly from your XXL replacement tank. Titan's Gen 7 tanks are designed to meet the needs of diesel truck owners who demand more from their fuel tanks.
The Titan 52 Gallon Extra Capacity Mid-Ship Replacement Fuel Tank, designed specifically for 2001-2010 GM 2500 and 3500 pickups with Crew Cabs, short beds, and Duramax engines. With this innovative upgrade, you're not just investing in a larger fuel tank - you're investing in unparalleled freedom and convenience on the road.
The tank comes complete with black-coated, galvanized steel mounting straps and front support system. Plus, with its exclusive low fuel trap design all 52 gallons are usable capacity. We could advertise a larger capacity, but we chose to only market usable capacity to set honest and reasonable expectations for our customers. The Titan XXL tank also features minimal hang down below the bottom of the stock tank (approximately only 2”).
Fuel Gauge:
Your in-dash fuel gauge will remain accurate. Because your TITAN Tank holds more fuel, the gauge will simply stay on “Full” longer before beginning to drop
Distance-to-Empty (DTE) / Range:
Programming the DTE is not required, as your fuel gauge will continue to read accurately. However, customers who want their Distance-to-Empty (range) display to reflect the new tank capacity can update it on most trucks. Until programming is completed, the DTE reading may be inaccurate.
When it comes to programming, Titan keeps it simple, there is no need to have us ship you an expensive programmer that you send back. We have our own Titan Tech programmer available for some make and models, while other truck models can be done with very affordable and easy to use software.
Programming Options
• 2011-2026 Ford Trucks:
Use the Titan Tech programmer (available directly from TITAN Fuel Tanks) to update the DTE in seconds.
• 2019-2024 RAM Trucks:
Use AlfaOBD, a RAM-specific software that allows the vehicle computer to be updated for the increased TITAN tank capacity.
Third-party programming tools and software are independent of, and not guaranteed by, TITAN Fuel Tanks™.
For model year: 2001-2010
For 2500HD and 3500HD Models with Duramax Engines.
For use with diesel fuel ONLY.
• The TITAN tank is 26 gallons larger at 52 gallons. The stock tank is only 26 gallons.

The Truth About Fuel Capacity
Fuel capacities shown for each and every Titan Fuel Tank are not a claim: it is fact, we show the usable capacity for every tank! In fact, the tanks are larger than their usable capacity. Usable fuel capacity is the portion of the tank that can safely hold fuel and allows the fuel to be picked up by the sending unit. For example, our 7020217 tank for the 2017+ Ford Crew Cab, Short Bed trucks is marketed as a 55 gallon tank. Could it hold more? Yes! Another 5 gallons of capacity exists in the tank, but that capacity is not usable. This 5 gallon area above the filler neck is for expansion/vapor headspace to dissipate the pressure changes in the tank due to temperature and elevation changes. We choose to not mislead our customers and market only the usable capacity, 55 gallons.
We chose to only market usable capacity to set honest and reasonable expectations for our customers.
